Nearly sixty years since we met at Rose hill tennis club. You were always kind and sincere and I loved the times we all used to spend together, playing tennis and also the fun we had in the club house.
We lost touch for many years but it was so lovely when you used to come up from Coventry to see your dad and you, me and Geoff used to meet up in the Broadoak. I treasure those times.
You are now resting peacefully, lovely man. My life was richer for having you in it.
All my love and thoughts are with Jane, your true solemate.

I’m so sad to hear of the passing of the man who taught me guitar around 20 years ago, I just learnt of his death purely because I was curious about getting in touch with him to thank him for his help as I don’t know that I’d still be playing and in a band now because of him. As obsessed with guitar as I now am I know he would be interested in the music I am now creating and see that I am too late in letting him know about the huge part he played in helping me get started learning scales. He was a fantastic teacher with a great sense of humour. I have fond memories of learning just what a Maine coon cat is at his as well. Rest in peace, I’ll always be thinking of you whenever I pick up my guitar.

What a truly wonderful man - such a talented musician, and so kind. I’m glad I knew him. Sending love to Jane and the rest of the family.
